Chagrin Falls has a Tornado Alert System.
The tornado alert is a siren that has a constant “blare” for 60 seconds.
When the dispatch center receives a tornado warning within a 50 mile radius of Chagrin Falls they will activate the siren.
The tornado alert system is tested every Saturday from April 15th- October 15th at 2:00 p.m.
The tornado alert should not be confused with the fire siren that is set off between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. when the fire department is responding to a fire.
The fire siren lasts for approximately 30 seconds and it cycles up and down,
