Chagrin Falls Senior Council

Chagrin Falls Senior Council is Mayor Brick’s committee to support the aging population in Chagrin Falls.

Senior Council meetings are held the first Tuesday of every other month at 4pm in Council Chambers at Village Hall. The committee works on developing resources for seniors in the Village and produces a senior fair in the fall. Since the committee began in 2006, a non-emergency help line has been developed, all Village senior residents were surveryed,  Dr. Whitehouse and Dr. Esselstyn and others presented programs at Chagrin Falls Library, and the committee worked with Chagrin High School administrators and students to develop a snow shoveling and leaf raking program for seniors.

If you are interested in joining the Council, please contact Jean Hood, Chairman, at 440-247-4676 or email to jeanh@hamletretirement.com.

Non-Emergency Help Line

Please call 440-247-1015 and press #6 for Senior Center. Leave a message and a trained representative appointed by the Mayor from Chagrin Senior Council will answer your call. Your call will remain confidential. The volunteer can give you resources to help solve your problem or find an organization that can provide help. Your problem can be as simple as finding someone to mow you lawn. You may also call Chagrin Falls Police non-emergency and they will refer the call to the committee. The Non-emergency help line was enacted by Council in September 2008 under Ordinance No. 2008-45.
