EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL
Mr. Himes said in February of 2003 this Committee adopted the Village wide storm water management program, which is part of the phase II EPA storm water regulations. One of the many items in that is the adoption of an erosion and sediment control ordinance to control the sediment pollution in waterways that come from construction. This comes from the model ordinance developed by the Chagrin River Watershed Partners and it creates a means of enforcement of various management practices to reduce erosion and sediment runoff from construction projects.
Mr. Himes briefly reviewed the ordinance and answered questions.
Moved by Mr. Patton, seconded by Mr. Tomko that the Storm Water Committee recommend to Council that this ordinance be adopted. The motion carried unanimously.
The meeting adjourned at 7:46 p.m.
