The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Chairman Steven Patton.

TELISYS CONSULTING PROPOSAL

Don Shoemaker presented a consulting service proposal to audit telephone records and determine the telecom and information technology needs of the Village. Mr. Shoemaker said the study would provide access to a public broadband initiative available through the partnership of Telisys and the non-profit OneCommunity Organization.

Mr. Shoemaker advised that the Village’s contract with Time Warner is due to expire and the Village would be charged an estimated $56,000 per year to use the institutional network. The franchise agreement currently allows use at no cost to the Village. Mr. Patton asked Mr. Himes to investigate the effect of the contract expiration with the law department. No action was taken on the proposal.

The meeting adjourned at 8:10 p.m.
