ARTS COMMISSION

The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m.

MEETING SCHEDULE

It was agreed to meet on the first Monday of the month, every other month. The next meeting will be held on March 3, 2008.

CHAGRIN FOUNDATION FOR ARTS AND CULTURE

At the December 17, 2007 meeting of the Arts Commission, the Chagrin Foundation for Arts and Culture made a request for funds for $20,000 a year for promotional support. A representative from the Chagrin Foundation for Arts and Culture made a presentation to the Commission explaining the reasoning behind the request for funds. Before this is presented to Council, the Commission will evaluate the request and also take under discussion more of procedure or a formulated approach by them and/or others that may grant funds. There was lengthy discussion and comments were heard from the audience.

A meeting was scheduled for Monday, February 4, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. to put together a grant request procedure.
