Appointed to his current position in 1999, Lt. Sincaglia oversees the
Fire Prevention Division. He joined the Department in 1986 while still attending Chagrin Fall High School and remained active during summer and winter breaks while completing his B. S. degree in Mechanical Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
As a result of his involvement with the department, Lt. Sincaglia received a fire service scholarship through Volunteer Firemen's Insurance Services that permitted him to go on and complete a Masters Degree in Fire Protection Engineering in 1992. After a couple of job changes, Lt. Sincaglia returned to Chagrin Falls in 1996 to found Firesafety Solutions, Inc., a consulting engineering firm in which he served as President and Engineer in Charge until June of 2007. Lt. Sincaglia is currently the Director of Midwest Operations for Hughes Associates, Inc., providing fire protection engineering, Building and Fire Code consulting and forensic engineering services throughout the midwest.
Lt. Sincaglia lives in the Village of Chagrin Falls with his wife, Connie (granddaughter of former Assistant Chief Virgil Blair), and daughters Kate and Brenna.
He is an member of the Chagrin Falls Dad's Club, the Chagrin Valley Jaycees, coaches Chagrin U10 girls travel softball and still plays baseball with the Greater Cleveland Adult Baseball League.
