FIRE LANES ARE VIGILANTLY ENFORCED 24 HOURS A DAY 7 DAYS A WEEK REGARDLESS OF EVENT OR OCCUPANCY OF STRUCTURE.  FIRE LANES IN THE VILLAGE OF CHAGRIN FALLS ARE 20 FEET WIDE TO ALLOW FOR FIRE APPARATUS PLACEMENT.

OHIO ADMINISTRATIVE CODE 1301:7-7-05

502.1 “Fire apparatus access road.” Same as “Fire Lane” as described in this paragraph.

“Fire Lane.” A road or other passageway developed to allow the passage of fire apparatus. A fire lane is not necessarily intended for vehicular traffic other than fire apparatus.

503.4 Obstruction of fire apparatus access roads. Fire apparatus access roads shall not be obstructed in any manner, including the parking of vehicles. The minimum widths and clearances established shall be maintained at all times.
