Mark has been a volunteer with the Chagrin Falls Village and Suburban Fire Departments since 1974 where he currently serves as Assistant Fire Chief.
He works as a Battalion Chief for Solon Fire-Rescue and is Director of the Chagrin/SE Hazmat Team in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. He teaches Hazmat Topics for Cuyahoga Community College and the Ohio Fire Academy, as well as serving on the county Hazmat Committee and the Ohio Hazmat Technical Advisory Committee. He was a contributor to the development of Hazmat/WMD Awareness, Operations and Technician courses for the Ohio Fire Academy. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Fire Safety Engineering from the
University of Cincinnati and is an Ohio Fire Safety Inspector, Fire Service Instructor, Paramedic Instructor, Advanced Hazmat Life Support Instructor and Hazmat/WMD Technician Instructor.
He and his wife Ellita live in Chagrin Falls.
