VILLAGE OF CHAGRIN FALLS
2008 ACCOMPLISHMENTS

1.) Completed 2008 within our General Fund Budget.

2.) Successfully passed a replacement levy to provide the first property tax revenue increase in 15 years.

3.) All permits and variances were issued for the re-development of West Orange and the Windsor Hospital site.

4.) Supported the re-development of the IVEX site with the Spillway Group.

5.) Prepared a Bond Issue proposal for a new police station and renovated Village Hall which should go on the May, 2009 ballot.

6.) Passed an Architectural Board of Review charter change to ensure that we could count on the services of local architects to maintain the character of the Village.

7.) Initiated a study on forming a storm water sewer district.

8.) Modified the BZA code to improve the clarity and efficiency of our approval process.

9.) Sold our first columbarium niches beginning the expansion of our cemetery.

10.) Supported the establishment of our Farmer’s Market.

11.) Held the first simulation exercise for a community emergency.
